Brown Eye Color Can Be Changed With Blue Laser

Dr. Gregg Homer of Stroma Medical in California said that Lumineyes technology that uses a laser at a specific frequency could change eye color from brown to blue.
The energy of this laser will eliminate or brown pigment melanin from the top layer of the iris so that the blue color will appear within the next 2-3 weeks. This could be an alternative for people who want to have blue eye color without the use of contact lenses.
However, the procedure has been developed by Dr Homer for over 10 years is irreversible, so that blue eye color can not go back again become brown with brown eye tissue can not be regenerated.
“They say the eyes are the windows to the soul, and blue eye color is not opaque so you can look into it while the color of brown eyes are very blurry,” said Dr. Homer , as quoted from Dailymail , Saturday (11/05/2011).
Eye color is generally inherited, but brown eyes are more dominant in the whole world while blue eyes are recessive . And usually people with blue eyes have a brown pigment because pigment blue eyes does not really exist in nature.
A study from the University of Copenhagen in 2008 found that all people with blue eyes are descended from ancestors who have blue eyes mutation and had lived 6-10000 years ago.
Chair Professor Eiberg said the study’s time everyone had brown eyes and blue color is due to the mutation as well as in hair color, baldness, freckles dots and spots on the face which does not affect humans a chance to survive.

The idea is wonderful. However, is the only option blue or can the laser remove a little less pigment to achieve green, hazel or other color like gray? Is it all or nothing?Please let me know.Also, although it’s supposed to be available in 3 years , is there any list of interested people yet? Thanks, FRED
