If you do not get decent service, it is okay if you are reluctant to leave a tip. But, if you never give a tip even though you receive a satisfactory service, ask yourself why. Is it because you think the waiter or hairdresser already receive enough salary, or just because you do not want to lose money?

frugal: take some money for savings
stingy: save all salary, and never have fun

There are principled people who save as much as possible while young. The goal, for example, in order to buy a house and retire young to spend more time with family. Or, travel and pursue your other dreams. This principle is certainly enviable. However, if you refuse to pay the costs of the reunion because you do not intend to enjoy the cuisine, or never want to give donations to friends who are affected by the disaster, try to check back on yourself: for what you save. As human beings who must live socializing, there’s nothing wrong you also set aside a little money to enjoy life.
